| The Ann Hsu Memorial Fund was established in 2000 in memory
of Chia Yen “Ann” Hsu. Ann’s tragic murder
in December 1999 had a tremendous impact on people throughout
the Delaware Valley. The Collingswood, New Jersey resident
was raped, kidnapped from her apartment and thrown into the
frigid Cooper River bound and gagged. Her body was recovered
from the river in April 2000. In May of 2002, Rodney Bullock
pleaded guilty to first-degree murder. Mr. Bullock was convicted
of Ann’s murder the following June and sentenced to
60½ years in state prison.
Ann’s enthusiasm for life and all of its adventures
was infectious. Her ready smile only hinted at the depth of
her warmth and love for her friends and family. The loss of
this strong young woman continues to be mourned by those who
love her, as well as many who never had an opportunity to
know her. The mission of the Ann Hsu Memorial Fund is to ensure
that the memory of Ann and the ideals she stood for remain
strong. Learn more >>
